Litigation boutique Kaplan & Grady is honored to welcome John D. Tinder to the firm as Of Counsel. His extraordinary experience includes three years as the United States Attorney for the Southern District of Indiana, twenty years as a judge on the United States District Court for the Southern District of Indiana, and eight years as an appellate judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. He retired from the Seventh Circuit in 2015.

Since his retirement from government service, Tinder has remained active as a mediator and arbitrator. He also routinely consults with counsel to test and moot civil and criminal trial and appellate presentations. At Kaplan & Grady, Tinder will continue his work as a neutral and consultant. He will also serve as an exceptional resource for firm clients interested in his perspective on their most important litigation challenges.
